Curbing Abuse: Disney leadership, including new CEO Josh D’Amaro, reiterated that the 2024 overhaul was necessary because the program's usage had tripled since 2019, largely due to "overuse and misuse" that was making the virtual lines unmanageable. Expert Backing: D’Amaro noted that the current rules are the result of extensive collaboration with medical professionals to ensure support is "thoughtfully matched" to individual needs rather than being a one-size-fits-all "front-of-the-line" pass.
